AFTERGLOW

LED Drum Show

An Australian first, Afterglow introduces an integrated LED drum format, designed for high-impact, modern live events. The show was created by Kaleidoscope Dream to push what’s possible in live entertainment, bringing together musicians, choreographers, music producers, and lighting engineers to create something fresh and exciting, built specifically for festivals, major sporting events, and large-scale corporate productions.

The performance is centred on the drumline, where rhythm and light combine to create a visual and auditory feast for the senses.

Afterglow can be presented as a live, sound-reactive drum feature, where the lighting responds directly to the drummers, or as a programmed show synced to custom mixes created specifically for each event. These mixes combine reworked versions of familiar songs and mashups with rhythm-driven material built around live drumming. This gives the show precise timing and musical control, allowing it to stand alone as a complete feature performance or integrate seamlessly into larger event productions.

Afterglow can perform as a moving drum feature or a fixed stage performance, allowing the act to travel through spaces or be staged as the headline show. Drummers can perform in marching harnesses or on drum stands with each version shaped around the brief rather than locked to a single format.

Afterglow lineups range from a solo LED drum feature through to a standard four–five piece drumline, with the ability to scale up to 15+ drummers. The show can also integrate additional creative elements such as DJs, horn sections, and acrobatic performers, with LED elements extended beyond the drums and incorporated across the wider production.

Each version of the show is built to suit the event, with scale, music and arrangements, and configuration shaped by the brief, budget, and performance area.
