SARAH DUFFY
MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA
HOST | MC | TV presenter
If you want to know what it’s like to bungee jump, skydive, come face to face with a Cheetah, go jet boating, dive with great white sharks, hike to Everest Base Camp, fly in a helicopter, or climb glaciers, Sarah is the one to ask.
Sarah has always had a passion for travel. Setting off on trips with her beloved Grandparents at the ripe old age of 4, she blames them for contracting incurable wanderlust, and has lived in and travelled to some of the world’s most beautiful places.
A former Snowboard Instructor having lived 10 snow seasons in the Alps here in Australia and overseas. She has a Master’s degree in Media and Communications (broadcasting and digital content), a Grad Dip of Arts in Radio Broadcasting, many presenting and content-producing courses, and a short course in Meteorology from BOM Melbourne.
Since childhood, she’s had a keen interest in sports, when she got to high school Outdoor Ed classes helped her get out of other classes so she could play soccer, tennis, basketball, go surfing, wakeboarding, hiking, snowboarding, or skiing.
An avid runner, hiker, pilates, and yoga enthusiast she’s up early enjoying these activities to start the day. She also loves a fun run, although most people wouldn’t consider the words ‘fun’ and ‘run’ should ever be put next to each other. With her keen interest in running she has enjoyed participating in and helping raise charitable funds for; Run For The Kids, The Mothers Day Classic, Fred Hollows Foundation, Run To The G, Run Melbourne, Relay For Life, and Woman’s Fun Run, to name a few. Sarah gives time to charity and causes close to her heart such as; The Royal Children’s Hospital, Donate Life, Australian Red Cross Blood Service, and supports the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal.
Growing up in a family of builders and tradies, Sarah has spent most of her upbringing in houses being renovated or built around her. Sarah spent her early twenties on a building site as a builder’s labourer/site cleaner, has worked with her Dad and Brother on concrete slabs, tiling, plastering, building and assembling cabinets, is very handy with a paintbrush, and it’s not uncommon to also find her in the garden with a hedge trimmer, pressure washer, or the like in hand, due to her love of the outdoors. She get’s lost in the world of interior and garden design more often than she should tuned to Grand Designs, Escape to the Chateau, or the like, loves taking over her Dad’s shed to repair and refurbish pre-loved furniture and learning how to use new power tools, and you’ll most likely find her in the isles of a hardware store over a clothing store or nail salon.
Sarah is a freelance presenter, producer, voice-over artist, writer, and event host/MC for all things media, so if you’re looking for someone who thinks quickly on their feet, and whose work connects with a wide variety of demographics. Then Sarah is it.
If you’ve taken anything away from reading the above it should be that Sarah’s life revolves around; food, travel, building, sports, events, and self-treating her acrophobia (fear of heights) with activities that suggest otherwise as a form of immersion therapy. P.S. None of them have worked, if anything it’s made it worse, but she’ll keep trying so she doesn’t miss out on living.
Sarah has hosted countless events while working in media and entertainment for more than a decade.
Growing up being involved in different sports like; Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, AFL, Surfing, Snowboarding, and Cricket, she’s an avid sports fan, and loves to be involved in sporting events.
For the 2017 and 2018 AFL seasons, she co-hosted along with Cole Rintoul the Essendon Football Club match day proceedings, and interviewed and presented the formalities at the MCG or Marvel Stadium live on the big screen, in front of crowds of 30-60,000 people. Having done a similar role for North Melbourne AFLW in 2023 and followed the team to games in Melbourne and Tasmania. For the 2022/2023 AFL Footy Season’s, Sarah entertained guests for Carlton FC in the Member Legends Lounge at the MCG and Marvel Stadium for all Home Games for the season, interviewing players, legends, and coaches, and bringing fun and excitement to the weekly raffle draw.
She’s not just a regular at the AFL, she spends just as much time hosting events at the Cricket in Summer. She has worked for Cricket Australia in their corporate hospitality rooms of 200+ people for The Ashes Boxing Day Test Cricket, conducting special guest interviews, presenting competitions, and entertaining guests, and similar for Melbourne Renegades, Cricket Victoria, and the Melbourne Stars.
Always ready to pack her bags and travel, Sarah has travelled around Australia with Spartan Race AUS/NZ as a Presenter/MC for their epic obstacle endurance course races, carrying out interviews, and hosting the start and finish line entertainment. And because of her love for a day at the races, Sarah travels to many of the Victorian Country Race meets and hosts race day Fashions on the Field events including Mansfield, Balnarring, and Warrnambool.
After many years, Sarah has not just hosted sporting events, but conferences, luncheons, charity events, award ceremonies, fun-runs, family events, university open days, music festivals and the list goes on. Every event is different and so are the topics, from fashion, sport, technology, education, entrepreneurship, music, food, medical, and so much more.
