TIM BLACKWELL

Tim Blackwell is one of Australia’s most respected radio broadcasters and television presenters, with more than 25 years of experience across radio, television, live events and podcasting.

A Sydney native, Tim has been an integral part of the Nova Entertainment family since the network launched in 2001. Throughout his career, he has hosted some of Nova’s most successful programs, beginning with Breakfast radio in Brisbane and Melbourne before becoming the very first voice heard when Nova Perth launched.

He later took the reins of the station’s Drive show, further cementing his reputation as one of the country’s most accomplished broadcasters.

Tim went on to co-host Nova’s national Drive program for 13 years, leading one of the network’s highest-rating shows and earning recognition as an ACRA Award-winning presenter. His engaging interviewing style, quick wit and genuine connection with audiences have established him as one of Australia’s most influential and trusted media personalities.

In 2020, Tim expanded into podcasting with Introducing with Tim Blackwell, where he sits down with some of the world’s biggest and most fascinating musicians. His passion for music and ability to draw out authentic conversations have made the podcast a favourite among artists and fans alike.

Television has also played a significant role in Tim’s career. He spent 15 years as a presenter on Getaway for the Nine Network and has become a familiar face across Australian television, making regular appearances on Today, Today Extra and a range of entertainment programs.

In 2024 and 2025, Tim hosted the prestigious ARIA Awards, reinforcing his standing as one of Australia’s leading music presenters and live event hosts. In 2025, he also launched the Four the Record podcast on Nova Podcasts, joining journalist Joe Hildebrand each week to unpack and debate the biggest stories making headlines.

In 2026 Tim joined Nova 96.9’s Breakfast show alongside long-time friend and colleague Ricki-Lee Coulter, where the duo now wake up Sydney each weekday with their trademark humour, warmth and chemistry.
